Three months ago, Wizkid announced that the members of his record label will be releasing a joint EP, Made In Lagos, following their infectious hit single, “Soco”.
That seems to have taken a turn, however, as Wizkid just recently announced Made In Lagos as the name of his own upcoming album, which he said is coming “real soon”.
In an interview with Tim Westwood, after his sold-out concert at the O2 Arena, Wizkid said that he has a 10-track album on the way with no additional features. He declared that the project will be “just pure Wizkid”.
While we’re not mad at this at all, we were expecting Wizkid to be releasing two bodies of work this year.
Anyway, this won’t be the first time he’s talked a big talk and not delivered for his fans — we are all kinda used to it at this point.
Honestly, while we all liked “Soco“, Wizkid was undoubtedly the best thing about it, so we don’t even mind that he’s hijacked the album.
We’re not sure when it’s coming out, but he told Julie Adenuga that it’s coming “real soon”, so we’ll keep our ears to the ground.
